This is a chronic, progressive, neurodegenerative disease of the brain .It is the most common form of dementia, accounting for 60% to 80% of all case of dementia of this disease named after aloes altimeter’s a German physician who in 1906described changes in the brain tissue of a 55 year old women who had died of an unusual mental illness. This disease is characterized by progressive destruction in memory or other aspects of cognition. The disease begins insidiously and is characterized by gradual loss of cognitive and functional ability and disturbance in behaviour and affect Alzheimer’s disease has been associated with lower socio economic status and education level and poor access to health care women are more likely than man to develop Alzheimer’s disease primarily because they live longer. In this type of disease include neurofibrillary tangles and beta –amyloidal plaques in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus. |

The objectives of the study these studies are to assess the knowledge and attitude. To associate knowledge and attitude level with selected demographic variables and to find out correlation between knowledge and attitude among mother of toddlers. The research approach used was survey approach and research design was simple descriptive co relative research design. The population was mother of toddlers selected by convenient sampling technique. The sample size was 60 mothers. The study setting was Kurkuradev village at Kanpur. A structured knowledge questionnaire and a Likert scale was used to collect data regarding temper tantrum. The result of the study was moderate knowledge 40(66.67%) and 7(11.67%) adequate knowledge and inadequate knowledge 13(21.66%) regarding mother of toddlers. And the overall mean score and standard deviation of knowledge score regarding temper tantrum in children among mother of toddlers were mean 9.18 and standard deviation 3.27 respectively. Attitude scores regarding temper tantrum in children of mother of toddlers had positive attitude 35(58.34%) while only 25(41.64%) students had negative attitude level of mother of toddlers among temper tantrum in children. And the overall mean score and standard deviation of attitude regarding temper tantrum in children among mother of toddlers were mean 26.51 and standard deviation 6.30 respectively. The results concluded that there is a positive co relation between knowledge and attitude of mothers of toddlers regarding temper tantrums |

Cardio means “of the heart “and pulmonary means “of the lungs” Resuscitation is a medical word that means “to revive “or bring back to life. The objectives of the study were to assess the knowledge regarding cardiopulmonary resuscitation technique, to evaluate the effectiveness of demonstration and to find out the association between pre-test knowledge score on cardio pulmonary Resuscitation techniques among GNM 2nd year students with their selected demographic Variables. An Evaluator approach with Quasi Experimental Non- Randomized control group design was used. 60 students from GNM 2nd year was selected by Purposive Sampling technique 30 in control group and 30 in experimental group. The result of the study shows In pre test in Experimental group highest (60%) were Inadequate followed by (33.33%) Moderate adequate, (6.67%) adequate. It can be interrelated that a majority GNM 2nd year student belongs to inadequate knowledge. In Control group highest (70%) were Inadequate followed by (20%) Moderate adequate, (10%) adequate. It can be interoperated that majority GNM 2nd year students belong to Inadequate Knowledge. In Post Test, Experimental group highest (73.34%) were adequate followed by (26.66%) Moderate adequate, (00%) inadequate. It can be interrelated that majority GNM 2nd year students belong to adequate knowledge. Control group highest (63.33%) were Inadequate followed by (26.67%) Moderate adequate, (10%) adequate. It can be interrelated that majority GNM 2nd year students belong to Inadequate Knowledge. Effectiveness of demonstration score of GNM 2nd year students on CPR of Calculative value is (8.24) , D.F. is (29), Table value is (1.699) and inference is (significant). The study concludes that demonstration helps to increase the knowledge among the students. |

Knowledge and Attitude towards Nursing Profession among Higher Secondary Science Students Enrolled in Selected Higher Secondary Science Colleges in Pune City. Nursing is an art, and if it is to be made an art it requires as exclusive as a devotion, as hard a preparation, as any painter’s or sculptor’s work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or cold marble compared with having to do with the living body-the temple of God’s Spirit? It is one of the fine Arts; I had almost said the finest of Fine Arts. -Florence Nightingale The objective of the study was, 1) To assess the level of knowledge about nursing profession. 2) To assess the attitude towards nursing profession. 3) To find out association between selected demographic variables and level of knowledge and attitude towards nursing profession. A descriptive evaluative approach was used. The study was conducted in selected colleges in pune city. The sample composed of 150 higher secondary science students studying in selected colleges. The sampling technique used in this study was non probability convenience method of sampling. A structured questionnaire and attitude scale on nursing profession was used for data collection. The content validity of tool was established by 14 experts against the criteria checklist. Based on the suggestions of the experts the final draft of tool was prepared. Reliability of the tool was tested by split half method. The questionnaire and attitude scale found to be reliable. Pilot study was conducted during the month of December 2019 on 10 higher secondary science students. 150 samples were selected for final data collection as per inclusion criteria. Descriptive statistics was used for data analysis and interpretation. The data collected was analyzed in terms of frequency, percentage, and “P” value and co-efficient of correlation and presented in the forms of tables. Results: Distribution according to gender depicts that 54% are male candidate and 46% are female candidate. Distribution of samples according to family income show that up to 38% candidate have family income 10000, 28% have 10000 - 20000 income, 34% have 20000 and above. Distribution of samples according to religion in which 98.7% belong to Hindu religion, 1.3% belongs to Muslim. Distribution of sample according to father education in which the candidate whose father are educated up to 10 this standard is 46%, up to 12th standard is 23.3% and graduated are 30.7%. Distribution of sample according to mother education in which the candidate whose mother are educated up to 10 this standard is 60%, up to 12th standard is 24.7% and graduated are 15.3%. Distribution of samples according to father's occupation in which the candidate whose father has government job is 26%, Private Job 34%, and labour job 10% and any other job are 30%. Distribution of samples according to mother occupation in which the candidate whose mother are housewife are 80.7%, labour work is 10.0%, and any other 9.3%. Distributions of samples according to region where they live are, in urban 61.3 % candidate lives, and in rural 38.7% candidate. Distribution of samples according to the candidate who are cared by nurse in which 66% candidate were cared and 34% were not cared. Distribution of samples according to the candidate who heard about the nursing in which 80.7 % candidate heard and 19.3% candidate not heard. Distribution of samples in which the medium through which they heard about the nursing in which through family members are 64%, through T V are 12.7% and through newspaper are 4%. Conclusions: In this study it was observed that samples have poor knowledge about nursing profession but have positive attitude towards nursing profession. According to our observation the objective of assessing knowledge and attitude towards nursing profession was achieved. |
